MY ROLE:
Working with NYC based SMAKK Studios, I landed them client Little Spoon. They're an award-winning DTC brand on a mission to make parents’ lives easier and kids healthier, with more than 1.5 million subscribers. They service hundreds of thousands of millennial and Gen Z parents across the country with healthy, nutritious, and fun food for their children at every eating stage.
Designing the “Cool” Factor:
SMAKK helped develop the look and feel of Little Spoon’s new products for big kids, establish product names and articulate how this new branding could be incorporated into both the broader brand architecture for Little Spoon and across key marketing channels.
Beginning with the product language, SMAKK created strong, ownable category names that kids could ask for by name – Lunchers, Veggie Loops, Dippers, and Fruit Rippers – as well as flavor names to build familiarity and understanding across the products.
SMAKK also illustrated ingredient-inspired characters to further establish a system across products that felt young and playful for kids, with healthy callouts–like hidden vegetable ingredients–that only parents would notice and get excited about.
